This stop motion picture freezes a runner mid motion, and is slightly tilted to increase the feeling of dynamic movement. I choose to make it black and white because it drains the scene of action. I felt like making it black and white would further emphasize the stop.
This is a panning shot taken right under a low powered light, creating a high exposure in the center and a low exposure everywhere else. The subject is the camera being held on the tripod, which was being carried across. The lockers in the background are blurred together. While the subject is incredibly clear, it is less blurred than the background. I edited the colors to look less distracting, and more complimentary to the mood.
This slow motion picture was my best because of how in focus the background is and how blurry the subject is. The scene is well exposed because of the bright light. I also feel like the perspective is good, without anything distracting. The colors were bright enough that very little editing was necessary.
This total motion was taken in the hall and I achieved the surreal motion by moving the camera in a circular motion.
